Whether you are a first time buyer or moving home we are here to help guide you through the home buying process. There are many things to consider when exploring your options before you even start looking for your new home.
As part of our initial appointment we look to review the following to enable you to be in a position to start looking for your new home:
- A general overview of the home buying process where we highlight key milestone you will come across to enable you to gain an overall understand of what to expecting during this time.
- Explore potential buying options based upon your individual needs, such as any buying schemes which may be relevant to you at the time – for example Shared Ownership or Deposit Unlock.
- Mortgage options based upon available deposit amounts and lending requirements as every mortgage provider has their own set of lending criteria.
- Review the potential costs involved and when these may become payable to ensure you have allocated the right budget or know where your saving goals need to be set.
- Complete an in-depth budget planner so you have a understanding of the future costing of owning your own home and to ensure the monthly mortgage payments are comfortable
- Review potential mortgage deals available as these can change daily.
Buying a home does not have to be a daunting process, we are here to support you through it. We do recommend, once we have reviewed the above, to arrange a mortgage in principle, sometimes referred to as an agreement in principle or a decision in principle, to ensure you are in a position to offer on a property once the right one becomes available.
